A Passion for Teaching

In 2020, Mr Tin Aung Win started WIN Maritime Training after 42 years of marine industry experience. He has 13 years of sailing experience with Neptune Orient Lines and Thome Ship Management as Chief Engineer. In 1990, he joined Jurong shipyard in Singapore as a Ship Repair Manager where he was in charge of ship building and repair projects.

 

Mr Win has 27 years of teaching experience since 1992; 20 years as a lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic (Singapore Maritime Academy), followed by 7 years as a Senior Instructor in charge of DP Maintenance training at EMAS Academy and Lerus Asia. He was invited to teach Marine Engineering Undergraduate and Post Diploma courses at University of Glasgow and Strathclyde, Newcastle University, and Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz. For his passion and dedication towards teaching, Mr Win was awarded the “Excellence in Teaching” award by Singapore Polytechnic in 1997.

Mr Win is currently a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore.

  • DP Kalman Filter

  • DP System Cabling Details

  • DP OS MP7900/ MP8200/ MP8300 Back Up and Restore

  • DP System Alarms, Interrogation & Trouble Shooting (System Status Monitoring)

  • Different DP Systems

Engineers on board vessels and maintenance personnel.
